How K. P Astrology Differs from Traditional Vedic Astrology

KP Astrologer Dr Bipin Bihari Lal 03rd May 2020

With the blessings of Sarveshwari Sarvashakti Sarvashree Manoorna Sampoorna- the Ultimate Supreme and blessings of Propounder of K.P Astrology- Prof K.S Krishnamurti and his direct eminent disciples, in this article, I shall like to discuss how K.P Astrology differs from traditional Vedic Astrology. This can be understood like In engineering, from Electrical Engineering –after refinement we have Electronics Engg and then from this, new Communication Engg was propounded. Similarly from Electronics Engg, we have Computer Engg and then from this, Information Technology and Software Engg have been developed. Now all are treated and studied as separate course or stream in Engineering.

Like above, Vedic Astrology came into existence from Traditional Astrology and then from Vedic Astrology different systems of astrology like Parashari system, Jaimini system, Ashtakvarga system, Suryasiddhant system, K.P Astrology etc have been developed to have better and accurate predictions.

K.P Astrology called Krishnamurati Padhati Astrology as propounded by Prof. K.S. Krishnamurati differs from Traditional Vedic Astrology in many aspects as mentioned and depicted in the table mentioned below:

Traditional Vedic Astrology

1.

In this system, all rules are universal which can be applied for similar cases and hence it is scientific. This is very useful for the modern world.

This system is never universal. No rules can be applicable universally in all similar cases and hence it is not scientific and has got no value for the modern world.

2.

In this, we follow Placidus House division where each of 12 houses are not equal to 30 degree. It may be more or equal or less.

Here, Equal House division system is followed where each house of 12 houses of the zodiac is equal and it is of 30 degree.

3.

We use KP Ayanamsha for all horoscopic works.

We use Lahiri or Raman or Khullar Ayanamsha for all horoscopic works.

4.

In this, each of the 12 houses is called Cusp which is the beginning of the bhava or house.

In this each house is called Bhava or house which is positional at the middle of the house.

5.

Each cusp position is identified with Degree, minute and seconds in Zodiac sign and with its sign lord-star lord and sub lord.

Each bhava position is identified with its position in degree and its sign/rashi lord.

6.

The whole Zodiac of the chart is divided in to 249 parts. Each part is called sub lord of the cusp.

Here whole Zodiac of the chart is divided in to divisional charts like Hora or Dreshkan or Navamsha (D9) or Shashtyamsha(D60) etc. Here there is no word called sub to be used.

7.

Each planet is identified with its position in the cusp in degree, minute and seconds in Zodiac sign and its sign lord, star lord and sub lord.

Each planet is identified with its position in the house in degrees in Zodiac sign and its sign lord.

8.

In case of Rahu/Ketu, it is represented by the planets with which it is conjoined, the planets which aspect Rahu/Ketu, star lords of Rahu/Ketu and the sign lords of Rahu/Ketu.

In case of Rahu/Ketu, in addition to their positions in houses sign lords of the houses are considered.

9.

In this system for natal horoscope, there is no place for exaltation, debilitation or eclipse etc of planets.

In this, planets status as exaltation, debilitation and deposition in Kendra sthans etc have roles in prediction for natal horoscope.

10.

In this system, in addition to Vedic aspects of planets and cusps, Western Astrology aspects are also considered.

In this, 7th aspects for all planets are considered. Additional aspects for Mars (4th& 8th), Jupiter (5th&9th) and Saturn(3rd&10th) are also considered.

11.

Horoscopic details are very easy to be analysed in case of Twin’s birth charts as there will be changes in sub lords of various cusps.

Horoscopic details are very difficult to be analysed in case of Twin’s birth charts. Ascendants and planetary positions in bhavas are almost same in both charts.

12.

This system is very useful for the prediction to the accuracy of even 100% in case of horary astrology as we prepare this chart based on K.P number 1-249 as well as the judgement date and time.

In this, basically horary problems are solved based on Ascendant chart which is fixed (in general for 2 hours) along with planetary positions like natal horoscopy.

13.

In this system, if 2 or more persons come for the same question to have the same answer at the same time like whether I shall win the election from many contestants or whether I shall top in the examination, answer will not be the same for all the persons. Proper answer can be given to only one person from so many that only he will win the election or say he will top in the examination.

In this system, it is not possible to have different answers for different persons with the same question. Answer will be the same for the same question for all the persons who come at the same time or even during 2 hours of the time when Ascendant remains the same.

14.

In this system, sub lord of a cusp will decide the result of the problem/matter related to that cusp.

In this, lords of bhavas and occupants in the bhavas play the role in finalising the results of the matter/ problems of that bhavas.

15.

In this system, planet in its dasha periods provides the results of the cusps which are owned by the star lord of this planet

Here the planet in its dasha periods provides the results of bhava occupied and of those bhavas which are owned by that planet.

16.

Ruling planets are the exclusive unique feature of this system which are based on Ascendant lords, Moon lords and day lord. These are used in ascertaining the actual timing for fructification of the event.

In this system, there is no concept of Ruling planets for their uses in fixation of timing for fructification of the event.

17.

In this system, significators are decided by the occupants of the cusp, the planets in the constellation of the occupants, the owner of the cusp and the planets in the constellations of the owners of the cusp.

In this system, there is no concept of such significators. Here bhava occupant, bhava lord, planetary status such as friendship, enemity, exaltation, debilitation etc only decide the karkatwa or significator of planets or bhavas.

18.

In this system, only Vimshottari Dasha system is followed.

In this system, in addition to Vimshottari Dasha, other Dasha systems like Ashtottari and Yogini dasha systems etc are followed.

19.

In this system, no planet is considered wholly benefic or wholly malefic. The planet offers the result of the cusp signified by the planet.

In this system, planets are malefic or benefic as per naisargik and panchdha maîtri chakra, planets position as per exaltation, debilitation and mool trikon etc.

20.

In this system, there is concept of Punarphoo which is based on position and lords of Saturn and Moon. This is considered exclusively in marriage matters or even in any activity of human beings.

Here, there is no concept of Punarphoo at all. Based on various positions and conditions of planets and bhavas, most of the matters or events are decided.

21.

In this, there is no reference or use of yoga like Gajkeshari yoga, Rajyoga and Ruchak yoga etc.

In this, many times predictions are given for happening of an event as per various yoga like Gajkeshari, Ruchak, Shashak, Rajyoga and Budhaditya yoga etc as per planetary positions in the horoscope.

These are a few differences between K.P Astrology and Traditional Vedic astrology. Like above, there are many more differences in making the Natal chart and Horary chart as well as in treating these charts for analysis and predictions of results for solving the various problems of human beings in day to day life.
